Australian Aboriginal Art in Far North Queensland

I am Gerry Surha from Innisfail in Far North Queensland, Australia.

All the stories that I paint are stories that have been passed down to me from generations of my mother and fathers families. These aboriginal paintings tell the stories of the rainforest dreaming.

These stories that were entrusted to me, I too must pass these stories down to the next generations. This is part of our traditional way of life.

I have made aboriginal art available through various paintings, and decorated aboriginal artifacts. The paintings are acrylic on canvas in various sizes. You can find a selection of paintings here.

All artifacts are made by the Australian Aboriginal people of Far North Queensland. More artifacts can be found in the didgeridoo and aboriginal artifacts section.
